Generally speaking, each summer we hire:

Junior Counselors  
Assist Senior Counselors in supervising groups of campers.
Participate in all activities.
Must be at least a High School student, at least 16 years of age.

First preference is given to applicants who have completed our CIT Program.

Senior Counselors
Supervise groups of campers.
Participate in all activities.
Must be at least a High School graduate, preferably a college graduate or working towards a college degree and 18 years of age.

Program Area Counselors
Staff specializing in one activity area, able to teach groups of campers.
PACs are needed for all of camp's activities. Specific certifications may be required. Must be at least a High School graduate, preferably a College graduate or working towards a college degree, at least 18 years of age.

Lifeguard/Swim Instructors
LGT/WSI certifications are required for this position. Certification classes are available in June. Must be at least a High School graduate, preferably a College graduate or working towards a college degree, at least 18 years of age.

CIT Director, Special Events, Head Counselor, Program Director
These administrative positions are generally filled with returning staff, but sometimes we will look for new applicants to fill these roles. Must be a college graduate or be working towards a college degree, with previous experience in education or summer camps.

Support Staff
Kitchen and maintenance positions available. Must be at least 18 years old.

CITs & LITs


Boulder Ridge offers a Counselor In Training program for young adults ages 14 & 15.  This program is only open to previous BRDC campers.  Applications will be mailed to eligible 2018 campers in December. Applications are due by January 31, 2019.


Our Leader In Training program is open to all campers entering 7th grade or higher.  This program allows campers to help out at specified activities for one or two periods each day.  Campers who would like to sign up for the LIT program can do so on their first day of camp.  There is no application other than the regular camper application.  ​Please contact us for more information.

       Staff are needed from June 24th until August 16th. There is a pre-camp staff training session in mid June. First consideration will be given to applicants who are able to commit to the full summer. We can't wait to meet you.
